Our charcoal is made by baking only natural woods from environmentally controlled and renewable sources  in specially built ovens, that  deprive them  of oxygen.

This drives off the undesirable elements of the logs, while keeping the carbon in the wood from burning.

The principal undesirable elements are: water, which produces a cooler fire, and other volatile compounds like hydrogen, methane and specially tar molecules that can contain carcinogenic compounds like benzo-A-pyrene.

After this process, with the volatile components removed, the wood is reduced by 75 to 80%. of its original volume leaving a product, Natural Wood Charcoal, that when it burns, it will not belch smoke and will burn long, hot and steady.

Due to it's high carbon content it burns very clean leaving little residues to clean.  A favorite among restaurants and serious barbeque aficionados that look for a very hot long lasting burning and easy to clean product.
